PostSubject: Magnificent?   Wed Sep 10, 2008 1:51 am

I wouldn't call today magnificent, more like unforgettable. I'd also call it a very special kind of brick - swimming AND biking at the very same time. Hope my bike seat dries out by Saturday.

To all, there will be a group swim tomorrow at the race site at 7am anda group ride of the course at 8am.

This is the last wekend before the race to see the course.
For any newcomers: I will be in a kayak keeping any eye on you on the swim. On the bikethere will be two groups, and I will be sweeper for the rear group. But please check out the bike course and print yourself a cue sheet from the course description on the website, bring a cellphone, and money.
To be clear I cannot keep an eye on everyone so try to stay together.

Thanks for being part of our training prior to the race. It has been alot of fun for me and my race crew.

See you at the run tomorrow.

Well, we had another great training group this morning. Over 22 swimmers experienced the warm, calm, fresh water Hudson River. I was in a kayak, as well as my friend Murat keeping watch over the group, and then we headed out to do the bike loop.

We had 25 on the group ride including our friends at CF who are doing a relay.
Again it has been my pleasure to be part of our group workouts and we will DEFINATLEY be doing this again next year in prepearation for the 2nd Annual Toughman.

But if you still want to train in a group setting go to www.WESTCHESTERTriClub.com andpost something or email me. I will let you know where and when we meet. Don't be intimidated as you are ALL really strong swimmers and cyclists and can hang with the group. There are many benefits to training in a group setting as you have sen with our weekly Toughman w/o's. Mainly you will be safer, you will learn alot just by watching and listening and asking questions. Plus we all benefit from the interaction.
So I encourage you to come out and run, or ride with the group, and the membership dues are really inexpensive- nothing, just show up and run or ride.

See all of you raceday. I wish all of you a great race and experience!
Rich
